Hosted at Rice Memorial High School
This Fall our focus is on growing together as a chorus in a traditional rehearsal process, on skill development, & on developing our sound as a group in an inspiring & enriching learning environment.
We will learn a repertoire which spans classical, folk and contemporary music, while developing skills within the musical philosophies of the Koday and Orff-Schulwek Methods.
It's a perfect time to build something beautiful!

SUMMER CAMP 2021
"My kids thought camp was "cool". I thought it was incredibly inspiring and delightful; I like that they now think singing in Italian is a perfectly normal thing to do!"
Christa feels honored to be working with such inspiring, professional and accomplished artists to establish a vibrant youth chorus here in the greater Burlington area. A graduate of Dartmouth College with degrees in History and Studio Art, she believes it is a perfect time to gather young people and work toward the goal of building something beautiful together.
Kevin, a dynamic K-12 music, drama and voice educator in Burlington, is a professional opera singer with a Master's degree in vocal performance from Brooklyn College Conservatory. Kevin has performed around the world, including at Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center.
Kevin has spent summers teaching children with FBN's Opera Outreach Camps and is passionate about inspiring and enriching
young lives through music.
A graduate of the New England Conservatory/Tufts University double-degree program, and the Mannes College of Music’s Professional Studies Program, Sarah recently returned to the United States after an exciting 10-year career in Bogotà as one of Colombia's most sought-after soloists and teachers.Upon her return to Vermont, Sarah and husband Daniel Gavira formed the 8 Cuerdas duo to celebrate the diverse repertoire of Latin American and Spanish song. Sarah also continues to perform professionally, is the founder of Youth Opera Workshop and Project Serenade and maintains a large private voice studio. A Burlington native, Sarah is thrilled to continue creating training opportunities for youth and developing singers.
Karen, a graduate of the Crane School of Music, is a music teacher, church musician, and was an integral leader and long time accompanist with the acclaimed Essex Children's Choir. Having completed graduate work in the music education philosophies of the Kodály and Orff-Schulwek methods, Karen incorporates musical games, listening exercises, and movement into her lessons. Children's voices, she believes, are one of the most beautiful sounds in the world.
